Terms of Service

These terms apply to careerbridge.co.za and any associated services operated by LEVERWARE (Pty) Ltd under the CareerBridge ZA brand.

1. Agreement to these terms

CareerBridge ZA ("CareerBridge", "we", "us", "our") is operated by LEVERWARE (Pty) Ltd, a South African company. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CareerBridge ZA website and services at careerbridge.co.za. By creating an account or using any part of the service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Who may use CareerBridge

You may use CareerBridge if you are at least 16 years old and able to form a binding agreement under South African law. By using the service you confirm that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide about yourself is true and your own.

3. What CareerBridge provides

CareerBridge is a free, AI-assisted career toolkit for South African job seekers. Depending on the feature you use, it can help you: - Build and improve a professional, ATS-friendly CV - Check how well your profile fits a specific job (a match score and gap analysis) - Generate a tailored CV and cover letter for a specific role - Browse private-sector vacancies (aggregated via Adzuna) and government vacancies (from the DPSA Public Service Vacancy Circular) - Auto-fill the official Z83 government application form and prepare a one-tap application Some features may require an account. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

4. The AI produces guidance, not decisions

CareerBridge uses artificial intelligence to generate suggestions — CV content, cover letters, match scores, fit assessments, and upskilling recommendations. This output is guidance only. It is not professional, legal, financial, or career-counselling advice, and it is not a decision about you. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying everything before you use or submit it. We do not guarantee that any match score, recommendation, or generated document is accurate, complete, or suitable for a particular application. We do not guarantee that using CareerBridge will result in an interview, a job, or any specific outcome. For government applications especially, always verify requirements against the official vacancy notice and the current DPSA circular — individual departments may state additional requirements, and circulars and forms can change.

5. Job listings and third-party content

Vacancy listings shown on CareerBridge are aggregated from third-party sources, including the Adzuna API and the DPSA Public Service Vacancy Circular. We do not create these listings, employ the advertisers, or control their content. We do not guarantee that any listing is accurate, current, still open, or legitimate. Closing dates, salaries, reference numbers, and contact details are extracted automatically and may contain errors. Always confirm the details directly with the advertising employer or department before applying, and never pay anyone to apply for a public-service post — legitimate applications are free. When you apply, you may be directed to a third-party website or email address. Those destinations are operated by others and governed by their own terms; we are not responsible for them.

6. Your responsibilities

When you use CareerBridge, you agree to: - Provide accurate, truthful information about yourself - Not use the service to create false, fraudulent, or misleading applications or qualifications - Not upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or that belongs to someone else - Not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, scrape, or gain unauthorised access to the service or its data - Use the service only for lawful, personal job-seeking purposes We build our AI never to invent qualifications or experience you did not provide — and you agree not to misrepresent the output as anything other than your own genuine background.

7. Your account

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from your dashboard.

8. Your content and ownership

You own the personal information and content you put into CareerBridge — your CV details, cover letters, and application data. You grant us a limited, revocable licence to store and process that content solely to provide the service to you (including sending the necessary text to our AI provider, as described in the Privacy Policy). CareerBridge ZA, its name, logo, design, software, and content are owned by LEVERWARE (Pty) Ltd and are protected by law. You may not copy, resell, or create derivative services from them without our written permission.

9. Free service and availability

CareerBridge is currently provided free of charge. We may in future introduce optional paid features; if we do, the terms and prices will be made clear before you pay. The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. We may suspend or limit access for maintenance, to manage costs, or to protect the service.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, LEVERWARE (Pty) Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of CareerBridge — including lost job opportunities, missed deadlines, reliance on AI-generated output, errors in aggregated job listings, or the actions of third-party employers, departments, or websites. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under South African law, including under the Consumer Protection Act where it applies.

11. Not an employment agency

CareerBridge is a software tool. We are not an employment agency, recruiter, or placement service. We do not employ you, represent you to employers, or guarantee placement. Any application you make is between you and the relevant employer or department.

12. Privacy

Our handling of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms and explains your rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). Please read it at careerbridge.co.za/privacy.

13. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify registered users. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or misuse the service. You may stop using CareerBridge and delete your account at any time.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising from them is subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
